Album Art & Booklet Design – Pelak 24 Rock Band

Scope

Concept development based on previous band name “Carneval”
Album cover design in traditional Persian miniature-inspired style
Design and layout of lyric booklet accompanying the CD
Full CD packaging design including disc label
Integration of elemental themes (fire, water, earth, air – “Akhsheej” in Persian) into the visual narrative
Hand-drawn concept art transformed into digital painting using Photoshop

Goals

Create a unique, culturally rooted album artwork reflecting the band’s identity and lyrical themes
Express the contrast and fusion of raw natural elements with alternative rock music
Deliver a complete physical album package that is both collectible and expressive
Balance tradition (miniature style) with modern music aesthetics

Approach

Started with pencil and ink sketches exploring nature-based symbolism and Persian miniature composition
Used classical layout techniques for the lyric booklet, giving space to each element (Akhsheej) alongside song lyrics
Digitally painted the cover and internal spreads in Photoshop, adding texture, depth, and fine lighting
Applied a narrative style to visuals, using color and form to match musical tones
Prepared print-ready layouts for CD cover, lyric booklet (multi-page), disc, and case
